Droid Comic Viewer in the Android Market

Droid Comic Viewer, the leading Android comic and manga reader by Robot Comic, broke the 250,000 Android Market downloads mark this week.

Unlike other landmark apps of the Android Market, Droid Comic Viewer has not been featured by Google yet. Its growing success comes from the strong support of its community, who actively contributes to make it the best comic reader for Android.

Droid Comic Viewer is the de facto comics and platform for Android devices worldwide. It has been localized to 7 languages and uses the ACV open format, which allows creators to adapt their comics for mobiles.

With an upcoming version that includes major feature, performance and usability upgrades, as well as more localizations, Droid Comic Viewer is on its way to become an essential app not only for comic fans, but also for all Android users. Join us as we introduce to a brand new audience the joy of reading comics!

FONE HOME’s (”The Mothership of UK mobile”, I kinda like that tag line) Linsey Fryatt declared Robot Comics’ own ACV Droid Comic Viewer as one of the 50 Best Android Apps on the market today.  They actually announced this back in December, but we just noticed, and wanted to say: Thanks, Linsey!

Seeing as how there were 20,000+ apps already on the Android market at the time, being chosen as one of the tip-top 50 really means something to us.  We’re pleased users have gotten so much out of ACV to date, and you better believe the big update to the viewer (coming very soon) is going to live up to all this hype.  Stay tuned.

BTW: if you’re new to all this, read more about Droid Comic Viewer here.
